Grooming Deposit/Payment/Cancellation Policy

At Dogs Country Club, we respectfully require a notice period of 48hrs to cancel or rearrange any appointment. This is to ensure the grooming slot can be filled. Appointments can be rearranged/ cancelled via an automated booking system.

To ensure appointments aren’t missed or forgotten, a text and email reminder will be sent upon booking and 48 hours before your appointment is due. Missing an appointment without contacting us, prevents other clients from receiving our services.

The deposit of £20 is paid when reserving the appointment slot. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the groom with the remaining amount being paid on the day (via cash, card or online booking system). All deposits are non-refundable. If the grooming appointment is no longer required, the deposit will be credited to use at another Dogs Country Club facility.

As we know, running late happens to everyone, if you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible. This will allow us to ensure the groom can go ahead in the time allotted.

Dog Grooming Health Policy

If your pet is unwell (e.g., vomiting, diarrhoea, kennel cough,) prior to the groom, please contact Dogs Country Club as soon as possible. This is to prevent further stress and discomfort to your pet and ensures the safety and well-being of other client dogs.

When booking your dog in for a groom, we will ask for any medical history and current medical problems your pet may have. If before the groom there is a change in your dog’s health, it is important to inform Dogs Country Club as soon as possible so we may update your dog’s information. Allergies must also be disclosed prior to preventing any adverse reactions to products within the groomers.

All dogs must be vaccinated and up to date. Dogs that are unvaccinated pose a risk to themselves and others. Proof of titre tests are accepted.

Dogs Country Club will not be held liable for any underlying health or skin issues exposed during the groom. If any issues are found, the groomer will contact the owner promptly.

We are unfortunately unable to accept dogs that are pregnant or in season.

Dog Grooming Behaviour Policy

Dogs Country Club reserves the right to refuse dogs that present unacceptable behaviours that we feel may become a danger to themselves or others. It is at the groomers’ discretion as to whether the groom proceeds. If your dog is reactive towards people and/or dogs, please advise the groomer as to whether a muzzle is required.

Here at Dogs Country Club, your dog’s welfare is our top priority and we do not wish to inflict any stress or discomfort to your dog whilst under our care. By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you will be agreeing that Dogs Country Club is allowed to apply extra charges for managing your dogs needs during the groom. Meetings with the groomer prior to the appointment can be arranged to discuss any issues, please email dogscountryclubuk@gmail.com

Dog Grooming Flea Policy

As part of the Dogs Country Club’s terms and conditions, all dogs should be up to date with flea and worm treatment. If fleas are found during the grooming process, the groom will be completed but an additional charge of £15 will be added on top of the groom's price. The additional charge will cover the cost of sanitation of the groom room (towels bagged and washed separately, deep cleaning of all areas and equipment,) and flea elimination of your dog (brushed through with a flea comb and bathed with specialist shampoo.)

Dog Grooming Matting Policy

At Dogs Country Club, we understand that dogs become matted easily, and at no fault of their owner, but unfortunately, it is an increasingly common issue and can lead to grooming difficulties. Matting of a dog’s coat is a serious issue and can become harmful and painful if left unattended over time. It is advised that dogs prone to matts, are groomed regularly to allow the skin to breathe properly, reducing the risk of skin tears, and infections.

Here at Dogs Country Club, your dog’s welfare is our top priority and we do not wish to inflict any stress or discomfort to your dog whilst under our care.  If we find that your dog is matted during the groom, the groomer will contact you immediately to gain permission to cut the matts out. This will cause the time slot to be extended as clipping matts away can cause irritation due to the clipper blades running closer to the skin and becoming increasingly hot. Regular breaks will be taken to prevent stress and to allow the blades to cool down.

By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you will be agreeing that Dogs Country Club is allowed to apply extra charges for matting removal and that Dogs Country Club can not be held liable for any issues during or post matt removal due to a badly matted and neglected coat i.e., skin redness, itchiness, irritations, or lesions.
