Reactive Dogs Scheme

Why Join The Reactive Dogs Scheme?

At Dogs Country Club we pride our selves on not only providing an excellent standard of training, but an excellent standard of training for dogs who need it most!

Martina Miradoli has been training dogs for 9 years and specialises in helping owners to train dogs that have behaviour problems with reactivity. She has studied Canine Behaviour and is an
accredited Instructor by Alexa Capra “Gentle Team” behavior specialist and has invaluable knowledge that can only come from many years of experience and practice within the industry.

Joining our Reactive Dogs Obedience Scheme will hold many benefits for you and your dog, including:

  • Improving communication witch each other
  • Helping you to manage your dogs environment and to avoid putting them under unecessary stress.
  • Learning to dog to make better choices and to offer more appropriate behaviours
  • Boosting both yours and your dogs confidence
  • Understanding your dogs and why they react in certain ways
  • Learning their language & signals.

The benefits that you can take from training your reactive dog can be life changing for some commited owners, it can help a none-sociable dog to feel more at ease within every day life simply by building confidence and strengthening the bond between you and your dog.

What Can We Offer?

Within the Reactive Dogs Scheme we have both a Workshop and an Obedience Course available to suit the training needs of Reactive Dogs.

Reactive Dogs WorkshopThis Workshop will give you skills and ideas to live a happier life with your difficult dog. It will teach you how to understand his behaviour and why he is reacting in that way. This Workshop covers both practical and theory, to give you an intense workshop, designed especially for you and your reactive dog.

Reactive Dogs Obedience CourseThis 8 week course has been carefully designed to take into consideration your dogs previous training. Weekly Courses are great to keep track of your progress throughout the programme. Being led by a highly qualified instructer who has trained and worked with reactive dogs for a number of yeard, who will provide you with various positive methods and techniques through the training programme.

Reactive Dogs 1:1 Behavior Consulation - Behaviour consultation requires more time and study then normal obedience 1-2-1.
For that reason we have a special booking system for our behaviour problems that will give you and us more time to work around your dog needs and will offer you and your dog a better service.

What kind of behaviour issues we can address with the help of one of our trainers:

- reactivity on lead
- fear aggression
- nervous behaviours
- noise sensitivity
- general anxiety issues
- incessant barking
- chasing issues (chasing cars, chasing birds)

Reactive Follow Up Sessions - This workshop is open to everyone that has done our Reactive Dogs 3 hours Workshop previously.
It’s a monthly session to refresh your training skills and to top up with some new ideas.
You will have a chance to work in a controlled environment, around other dogs, with our stooge dogs to progress your handling skills and your dog’s behaviour adjustment training.

The program will involve:
· Scent Work Training - to help reducing the stress and teach your dogs to cope with the environment.
· Lead Walking - using stooge dogs or using the dogs in the workshop.
· Engage and Disengage Game – refresh and take disengagement to a next level.
· More Tricks for calm and focus.

This workshop is a great chance for you to come back training with your reactive dog once a month, and spend some good quality time working on your skills in a controlled environment.

It is with great sadness that due to the current situation we are facing with Covid 19 and the pending extinguishment of Dogs Country Club in the coming months due to HS2; we have made the decision to bring forward the permanent closure of Dogs Country Club Ltd from Friday 3rd April 2020.

To offer a continuation of service to our key workers, Dee Waddup our Day Care Manager has agreed to carry on offering a day care service in her own name. From Tuesday 7th April 2020 Dee’s Dogz will provide a day care service from Tuesday to Friday 6.30am to 6.30pm for all key workers at the same site.

A new booking system will be going live on Wednesday 1st April – clients are able to create their own profiles to make and manage bookings through the mobile app. Again, in a bid to reduce contact all payments will be made through the app, using its secure integrated paying system.

Please contact Dee on 07885 758923 or email

If you are not currently a DCC client but are a key worker in need of day care please do get in touch.
