Every so often, a dog comes along who captures everyone’s heart the moment they meet them. Introducing Bertie.

Bertie is a beautiful little 4-year-old poodle mix with the sweetest nature you could ever hope to find. He’s affectionate, gentle, loving, and the kind of dog who simply wants to be close to his people. Sadly, Bertie is now looking for a new forever home through no fault of his own.

His devoted owners, now in their 80’s, have reached a point where ill health means they can no longer care for him properly. It’s a heartbreaking decision for them, and one that has been made entirely out of love for their little companion.

We’ve known Bertie for years here at Dogs Country Club, and everyone on our team absolutely adores him. So now, we’re determined to help him find the happy new chapter he deserves.

A Little Dog with a Huge Heart

Bertie may be small in size, but he has the biggest heart.

When we take him out for walks, even with acres of space to explore and play in, Bertie will check in and pause for a lie down at your feet just waiting for cuddles and affection. He truly is the definition of a companion dog.

He’s calm, loving, and incredibly easy to have around. There are no behavioural issues, no complications — just a lovely little soul who wants to love and be loved.

Bertie’s Perfect Home

Bertie would suit someone looking for a loyal best friend and companion. He’s good with children, friendly with other dogs, and even good with cats having lived with them – he’s an easy addition to many family homes.

Whether it’s cosy evenings on the sofa, gentle countryside walks, coffee shop visits, or joining in community activities with fellow dog lovers here at Dogs Country Club, Bertie will happily become part of your life and your heart.

At just 4 years old, he still has so much love, fun, and companionship to give!

• Free training group classes at Dogs Country Club
• Unlimited play sessions at Dogs Country Club

This means Bertie’s new owners will not only gain an amazing little dog, but also become part of a warm and welcoming community of dog-loving people.
