Puppy Foundation KCGCDS

At Dogs Country Club we are here to help owners realise just how much their puppy is capable of, when to exercise and rest their puppy, how to change their puppy’s behaviour in a positive way and how to build that all-important bond between puppy and owner. We aim to get this information across using positive, practical and easy-to-understand, fun training sessions and the results so far are proving it’s a job we are doing well. By giving a puppy lots of opportunities to experience our big wide world in a positive way, they learn from a very early age that the sights, sounds, smells and people in this world are not all scary. Dealing with the unknown in everyday life is easier for a puppy than for the adult dog. That’s why we positively encourage all new puppy owners to sign up for our Puppy Training.

What will we learn?

  • home training, toilet duties, dressing up to going out
  • handling your dog for cleaning and grooming duties
  • puppy recalls
  • basic position: sit and down
  • how to play, as play is an important part of your relationship with your dog
  • rules for walking on lead paying attention to you
  • socialization with other puppies and dogs: how to do it right!
  • exposure to different situation for a confident and well socialized dog in the future.

What Will We Learn?

5* Great 8 week course at Dogs Country Club, learned lots from who I can only describe as the female version of the ‘dog whisperer ‘ Charlotte, fantastic teacher, patience of a saint lol, recommend puppy foundation course to anyone, Dennis our Staffy passed with flying colours, ten out of ten to DCC - Baz Ormesher

20th November 2017

5* #dcctraining completed our lead training. I have a springer who a working breed. The lessons have taught us both alot. People who normally see us walking about even said how much we have improved and this was coming from a guy who was very old fashioned and any good comment to a lady, you know he really meant it. Defanitly worth your money in training. Even when i found a stray, they happily kept hold of the dog till i finished my lesson. They even helped me to try track owner down. I take my dog here for field days too and seen it develop over the past year. My dog loves coming here and always excited soon as we arrive. - Amanda Arnold
