In addition to the exams offered at The Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Examination Centre at Dogs Country Club, we also provide training and guidance for each level of the scheme. Our experienced trainers work closely with owners and their dogs to ensure they are well-prepared for the practical and theoretical components of the exams. Examinations are available for Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels.
Are you currently training through a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Obedience Course? Recently graduated from one of the aforementioned courses and want to put yours and your dogs skills to the test? Join us for one of Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Exams. All exams are assessed by an accredited examiner and aim to test you and your dogs knowledge and understanding each level – Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
The Bronze level is the starting point for dog training, focusing on basic obedience and socialisation skills. At this level, dogs learn essential commands such as walking on a leash and interacting with people and other dogs. This level also includes a section on responsible dog ownership, where owners answer questions about proper dog care and management.
To enroll for this scheme please go to Obedience Training
The Silver level advances to higher obedience standards. Here, dogs are expected to demonstrate advanced skills like staying in one place for an extended period and navigating through crowds without distractions. This level also covers health and welfare, testing owners’ knowledge of common dog health issues and best practices for maintaining their dog’s well-being.
To enroll for this scheme please go to Advanced Obedience Training
The Gold level is the most advanced, requiring excellent obedience and control in various situations, such as walking off-leash, staying calm amidst distractions, and performing advanced tricks. This level also includes emergency response training, testing owners on their ability to handle emergency situations with their dog.
