When researching puppy training, one word you’ll hear repeatedly is “socialisation”—and for good reason.

Socialisation is one of the most important foundations you can provide for your puppy

Proper socialisation ensures your pup grows into a well-adjusted, confident dog who feels comfortable around other dogs, people, and new environments. With the right training, you’ll have a happy, sociable companion you can take anywhere with ease.

But, this starts in puppyhood and we can’t emphasise the importance of this and how many behavioural issues later in their lives come back to this.

So where should you start and how can we help here at Dogs Country Club?

Our Puppy Party Play Sessions

These are play dates for puppies so they can enjoy exploring and playing off lead together in our secure paddocks. You’ll be amazed to see how they grow in confidence and personality through these sessions! These are supervised by our Trainers and split into different groups according to size, stage and play style. If your puppy is new to play sessions or a little on the shy side, we recommend starting at our mid-week Puppy Parties which are quieter.

Puppy School – an 8 Week Class

Our wonderful Puppy School class is designed with all of the essentials you need to give your pup the best foundation and start in life. It’s a brilliant bonding experience as you learn to communicate on a different level and work together as a team through the fun exercises.

We’re really family friendly and always encourage the family to join in the training so you’re all on the same page for different commands and for bonding with your puppy.

This is available for up to 12 months old and it’s a great way to expose puppies to new environments, people, smells and sounds in a positive way with our expert Trainers there to guide you.

Puppy’s First Groom

If you have a breed of dog who will need regular visits to the Groomers, it’s really important for your Pup to have a positive experience. Our Puppy Grooms are designed as a gentle introduction to the grooming process for them.

Puppies can find this stressful with the new sounds, being handled by someone new – and having a wash!

These sessions mean that our Groomer takes their time with each stage, ensuring your puppy in comfortable and happy with each step.

Extra Support Tailored to Issues You’re Having

If you’re feeling stuck or worried about your puppy and need additional support – our expert trainers are here to help. We have 15 minute Phone Consultations, as well as 1 hour Dog Training & Behaviour Consultations in person here at Dogs Country Club. You can have a good chat with our Trainers for their advice and guidance on what may be causing the issue and how to manage and improve this.

We also have Private 1-2-1 Training Sessions if you feel like you need help from our Trainers to overcome any hurdles you’re experiencing –

these services help support you through puppy parenthood and help give you the confidence that you’re on the right track too
