Board & Play Dog Boarding: A Holiday Your Dog Will Love

Planning a holiday should be exciting — but for many dog owners, it comes with a familiar worry:

“Who will care for my dog while I’m away?”

Every year, from spring through to late summer, our dog boarding at Dogs Country Club fills incredibly quickly. Last July alone, we had a waiting list of 26 dogs and countless disappointed owners who had simply left it too late to book. We already have reservations secured well into 2027, which shows just how important it is to plan your dog’s holiday as early as your own.

If you’re searching for trusted, enriching dog boarding that feels like a break for your dog – not just a place to stay – our Board & Play concept was designed exactly for that.

Why Finding the Right Dog Boarding Matters

Leaving your dog behind can feel stressful and emotional. You want reassurance that they will be:

  • Safe and well cared for

  • Busy and mentally stimulated

  • Socialising and not left alone

  • Happy, relaxed, and settled at night

  • Treated like part of the family

That’s why we encourage every new owner to book a Boarding Viewing. Visiting us in person allows you to chat through your dog’s routine, personality, and needs — and most importantly, see how it feels for you.

Peace of mind starts before your holiday even begins.

What Is Our “Board & Play” Concept?

Traditional kennels often focus on accommodation. We focus on the experience.

Our Board & Play approach means your dog enjoys full, activity-rich days designed around:

  • Structured play

  • Enrichment challenges

  • Exercise and exploration

  • Spending their day with carefully matched doggy friends

  • Plenty of company, human interaction and supervision

Dogs spend their days doing what they naturally love – moving, exploring, playing, and engaging – so when it comes to bedtime – they’re relaxed, content, and ready to settle down to sleep.

13 Acres of Secure Countryside Adventure

We’re incredibly lucky to be based on 13 acres of fully secure paddocks, giving dogs variety and stimulation throughout their stay.

A typical day might include:

  • Playing in our meadow fields

  • Swimming in our fresh water lake (yes – we sometimes get in too!)

  • Fun in our professional agility arena

  • Relaxed downtime with cuddles and snoozes on our comfy sofas

  • Spending the day with their doggy friendship group

No two days are ever the same – which keeps dogs mentally fulfilled as well as physically exercised.

Daily Video Updates for Complete Reassurance

We share daily video updates, so you can see who they’ve been playing with, how they are doing and what they’ve been up to.

Owners often tell us how much this means to them — seeing their dog happy, engaged, and clearly enjoying their own little holiday.

Don’t Leave It Too Late — Book Your Viewing Early

With demand highest between April and September, availability becomes limited months in advance. If you already have holiday plans – even for next year – now is the time to secure your dog’s stay.

If you haven’t stayed with us before, booking a viewing is the best first step. Come and meet us, chat to us about your dog, ask any questions, and see if we’re the right fit for your pooch.

Give Your Dog a Holiday of Their Own

We believe that your dog deserves more than just being looked after.
They deserve stimulation, companionship, adventure – and to return home happy, relaxed, and fulfilled. This is why we revolutionised dog boarding the last decade to provide our Board & Play experience.
